Tango Beginner Paradise

LEARN TANGO in a safe and friendly environment. Every Thursday, we offer Intro, Beginner, and Pre-Intermediate group classes (90 min) followed by the guided Practica (2 hrs).
*New Courses start on every first Thursday of the month. The intro class is available on any Thursday. Please make sure you register ahead of time.
7:30 - 9 pm every Thursday - INTRO TO TANGO
If you never danced Tango before, want to just try it out or you just looking for some activity for your date night - this intro class is for you.
Come with or without partner. Learn a few basic steps and get a fundamental understanding of the idea of improvisation and connection in Tango.
This class is offered on a drop-in basis - $40/person. You can come as many times as you wish. This class is free for Medford Residents, compliments of Medford Art Council (we need to see the Medford address on your ID)
7:30 - 9 pm every Thursday - Beginner Tango
This course is the equivalent of the Sunday Beginner Course.
There is a couple of phases in learning Argentine Tango, and the Beginner course is one of the most crucial components!
In the Beginner course, you will learn all Argentine Tango essentials - a famous tango walk/caminata, baldoza, and 8-count basic to the cross. You will be explained the essence of the tango embrace, how to connect and non-verbally communicate with your partner, how to read the body language, and how to convey the intention, express your needs, and care for the couple’s wellbeing. You will also become familiar with improvisation, navigation, and musicality principles.

7:30 - 9 pm every Thursday - Pre-Intermediate Tango
This course is the equivalent of the Sunday Pre-Intermediate Course.
The pre-intermediate level presents essential details and elements that are often considered 'common sense'. Things that seem obvious to Advance dancers but took years for them to master, secrets that you are supposed to know or somehow figure out on your own, are what you will learn in our pre-intermediate courses.
This course consists of 4 rotating series - 1) Cross System, 2) Ochos and pivots 3)Molinete 4) Musicality. You can take those sessions is any order.

Practica
with Friends and Mentors
9 - 11 pm every Thursday

Practica allows you to immediately implement what you’ve just learned in class.
Guided Practica means that the instructors will be present to guide you. They will answer your questions, suggest exercises, and help you work through the problem you are experiencing.
PLEASE NOTE: The Instructors are there to help you learn and not to entertain you = dance with you. They may dance with you if they determine that this is the faster way to help you out. But do not expect them to or be offended if they don’t. There are many students that need attention.
Entrance: $10.
Intro & Beginners: FREE.
Argentine Tango is the most passionate and addictive dance. The dance reflects life so closely that it makes you wonder how this is even possible. Once you enter the world of tango, it changes you forever. It will also empower you with the ability to dance and make friends anywhere in the world as you master your Tango language.
Practica is included in Intro and beginer classes!
